Sacred Circles of Reflection Symmetry

Sacred Circles of Reflection Symmetry

In an earlier post (Sacred Secular), I noted the apparent dual two-fold nature of the Old European Horned Star Goddess of my ancestral genetic maternal bloodline. In geometry, two-fold symmetry is also known as reflection symmetry and mirror symmetry. In two dimensions, there is a line axis of symmetry. In three dimensions, there is a plane of symmetry … and so on. Stonehenge is an architectural example of a design featuring core elements of reflection symmetry.

An advanced type of reflection symmetry is known as circle inversion. This kind of advanced inversion symmetry can be geometrically generalized to higher dimensional spaces. It is conceivable then that the ancient builders of Stonehenge deliberately encoded geometric concepts into its design and that this megalithic circle was indeed a sacred space for transformative shamanistic journeys to higher dimensions of perceptive and experiential consciousness.
