WOODEN WICKS

The patented technology premier quality wooden wicks used by KELTEN KANDLES are naturally processed and sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified mills. The FSC promotes responsible management of the world's forests by setting standards on forest products and certifying as ecofriendly those products which meet these standards. Wooden Wick Patent: “Pat. www.lumetique.com/patents”.

For optimal burn performance, keep wooden wicks trimmed to between 1/8" to 3/16" (3.2mm to 4.8mm) before lighting. This is extremely important. If the wick is too long, the wax will not pull up the wick and the candle will extinguish.

Before relighting or if flame height is getting too low during burning, gently snap off burnt ash or wood from the tip of wick.

Do not burn candle more than 4 hours at one time.

Extinguish candle when 1/2" (12.7mm) wax is left in the bottom of the container.

COTTON WICKS

Keep cotton candle wicks trimmed to 1/4" (paraffin), 1/8" (soy) or 1/8 to 3/16 (coconut-apricot) before each use to keep candles burning correctly.

WAX MEMORY

With container candles, it is recommended not to extinguish your candle until the melt pool has reached  the edge of the container and the whole surface has melted, especially during the first burn. Burning to the edge of the container will diminish possible tunneling that can result from not doing so.

HERB LOADED and ADORNED CANDLES

Take special care when burning candles with herbs, resins or other adornments, as these things may catch fire. Remove these things before lighting.
