The Witch's Internal Locus of Control

The practice of traditional witchcraft works to solidly establish an internal locus of control in the witch. The very first concept every new witch should understand and embrace is that WITCHES ARE NOT VICTIMS in terms of our approach to life. The witch is responsible for everything s/he does and accepts the consequences for the things s/he does. At every step along the path of the traditional witch, the witch is learning to develop and to strengthen the internal locus of control. In traditional witchcraft, there is no god, no cosmic force, no coven community and no other person a witch can blame for her/his actions. There is no "big daddy or big mommy" to make the witch act ethically. The witch must choose the person s/he is and will craft her/himself into becoming. Witchcraft is essentially soul craft - crafting yourself into the person you wish to become.
